For this 19th Permutation, Clyde Chabot has invited Fabio Dolce (dancer-choreographer, co-director – Cie Essevesse) and Carole Errante (actress, dancer, director – Cie CriAtura) to explore their intuitions and avenues of research with the help of the other participants, sharing their time equally between existing projects and those in the pipeline.
Permutation #19 – 19-21 july 2021
Carole Errante / Compagnie la CriAtura invited her mother, of Italian-Tunisian origin, to play her own role, co-written by the participants, based on her story. The participants and her mother took it in turns to perform the text ‘Je suis Lydie Errante…’ (I am Lydie Errante…).
Fabio Dolce / Compagnie Essevesse opened a writing window for the choreographic project currently being created #lacommedia, freely inspired by La Divine Comédie de Danse. He invited the participants to write in a vulgar/poetic style inspired by Dante’s style and to apply it to identified social issues.
Clyde Chabot experimented with his text Papiers volés (Stolen Papers), a work in progress. Based on a news item, the theft of her papers in Marseille, she opens up the question of moving from one city to another today and paints a singular portrait of this city, continuing her intimate questioning of roots. Performed alternately by the 3 participants, the text has given rise to an evolving theatrical and choreographic duet in which the roles of thief and robbed person are reversed.
Luna Muratti (author, director – Cie Diorama) took part in this Permutation for an afternoon.
